What is the government’s master plan?
In fact, in the country’s capital Delhi, the Central Government has made arrangements for such a fuel which is going to be available about 20 rupees cheaper than petrol. For which the country’s first E-85 fuel station has been launched by the government. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated this fuel station, which is located at the Pusa Road outlet of Indian Oil.

What is E-85 fuel?
E-85 is an alternative fuel in which ethanol is mixed. E-85 means that about 85 percent ethanol will be mixed in this petrol and the remaining 15 percent will be petrol. Adding more quantity of ethanol to petrol reduces its dependence on crude oil. Due to this, even if the import of crude oil reduces, there will be no shortage of petrol. Ethanol is made in India only, hence there is no import duty on it. Not only will this reduce the prices of petrol but it will also bring profit to the farmers.
How much will be the difference in price?
Talking about E-85 fuel, it can be found cheaper than petrol by about Rs 20. At present its price in the capital Delhi has been fixed at Rs 82.12 per liter. At present the petrol E-20 available contains 20 percent ethanol and the remaining 80 percent is petrol.
