Big stars, big budget, big platform, big locations do not guarantee that the content will also be big. There was interest in season 2 of Citadel because it stars our desi girl Priyanka Chopra and its first season was good, but the same cannot be said about the second season. The second season has everything on top but that is not what is most important these days. Story and content. There is a lot of style but no substance and hence this season bores you a lot.
Story
This season starts from where the first season ended. Citadel’s former agents Mason, Nadia and Bernard are facing different circumstances in different parts of the world. Nadia and Mason have been separated but they have to meet again for a mission. Like every Hollywood movie, the world is in danger again this time from a monster named Paulo Braga. He is creating a technology that will take over the human mind and turn him into a beast.
Then with its help he wants to kill the Russian President. Now what will he achieve by doing this and how will the world be in danger from this? These people will be able to avert this danger. What will happen in their lives together? This story has been shown in the show this time.

how is this series
This series is about the world’s top agents but that thrill is not available in this series. In the first two episodes it is difficult to understand what is happening. The story does not come to the point, things are shown here and there which bore. The story becomes understandable in the third episode but after just one episode the series starts feeling boring.
Things from their personal life have been shown so much and they pull so much that you get hooked. In the sixth episode, such a love triangle is shown that you start laughing, there is a lot of problem in the screenplay. Some things are not understood properly. You want to provide action. Want to see suspense but this time it is less. For once you wonder what these people want to show. Why was this series made, you do not connect with any character. Nor do you enjoy seeing all this style because now we see all this in every other film and series.
There is no special fun in seeing locations around the world. You don’t connect emotionally with the track between Priyanka and her husband. You don’t connect with any character’s back story. Expectations from this kind of series are very high and this series does not live up to those expectations at all. On top of that, the absence of ads and fast forward button on Prime Video makes you more angry. At the end the dialogue comes, let’s have a cup of coffee, and by then you are in dire need of coffee.
acting
Mason Kane has done a great job. He looks good in this character and does his job well. Priyanka Chopra has done an amazing job. His screen presence looks magical. His action looks amazing. Looking at her it seems that she has made her own place in Hollywood. And this place has become quite strong. Bernard Orlick looks very good and has played this character well.
He is the one who gathers them all again for the mission and that command is visible in him. Apart from this, the rest of the actors are also perfect. Lesley Manville has played an amazing character. This 70 year old actress tries to do on screen what others cannot do properly. Matt Berry has played a very good comic character. They bring a light and fun element.

Writing and Direction
This show has been created by Russo Brothers. There is nothing new in writing that will surprise you. Or that you have never seen before. Whatever happens in stories involving agents. It’s the same but it’s even less. The direction is fine but the lack of thrill in the show makes it boring.
Overall, if you want to watch it for time pass, you can watch it.
