Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his stay in Gorakhpur on Saturday, filled the digital/online form of self-enumeration under the first phase of the ongoing digital census in the state at his residence in the Gorakhnath temple complex. On this occasion, he appealed to all citizens to participate in the process of digital self-counting which will continue till May 21.
Census work is going on across the country, in which the head of the household, location of the house and other basic information are being filled in the first phase. Self-calculation will speed up the process, which will enable better data to be generated.

Self filled information on portal
The Chief Minister went to the self-counting portal and entered his information. Completed all the information columns. Appealing to all the citizens of the state to participate in this process, he said that this is the first completely digital census of the country. Its main objective is to prepare the outline of development and welfare schemes of the state by collecting accurate data in the spirit of ‘Our Census-Our Development’. It is noteworthy that on May 7, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had launched the first phase of digital census ‘Swaganana’ from Lucknow.
Appeal to the people of the state
CM Yogi has said that census is not just a calculation of population but is also a strong basis for holistic, inclusive and planned development. Census 2027 is also a medium to ensure that even the last person in the society can become an equal participant in the stream of development. He said that the use of digital technology for real-time data has made the census process more transparent, effective and quick.
