Lawrence Bishnoi gang has committed many types of crimes in the world and now its name is being linked to a big conspiracy. Khalistani supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar was murdered in Surrey, British Columbia in June 2023. American investigative agencies have claimed that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his associate Satinderjit Singh alias Goldie Brar had ordered the murder of Nijjar.
Many revelations have been made about the Lawrence Gang in the charge sheet filed by the US Justice Department. The Justice Department said that under ‘Operation Hard Ball’, major action has been taken against international organized crime gangs linked to India. In this operation, 37 alleged members have been accused of several serious crimes including murder, extortion, drug trafficking, kidnapping and firing.

During the investigation, 24 people were arrested in America, Canada and Europe. According to officials, this action is the result of a multi-year joint investigation against three major international criminal gangs. US Prosecutor Bill Esaily said that these gangs were involved in activities like murder, violence, extortion and drug trafficking. He said that major action against these networks was possible with the cooperation of law enforcement agencies of different countries.
According to the US indictment, jailed Lawrence Bishnoi and another accused have been accused of conspiring to assassinate a prominent Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia, Canada in 2023.
Officials said that three accused have been arrested in Canada, while 11 other accused are still absconding in America, India and Europe. Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said that this operation has set an example of strong cooperation between law enforcement agencies at the international level.
