Chennai made a challenging score
Chennai Super Kings, who came to bat first after winning the toss, did not have the start as expected. The team appeared to be under pressure after early wickets fell. However, Dewald Brevis took the responsibility in the middle order and took charge of the team by scoring 44 runs in a fast manner. Apart from Brevis, lower order batsmen also played small but important innings, due to which Chennai was successful in scoring 180 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Pat Cummins was the most successful bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets in his name.
SRH recovered after initial shocks
Sunrisers Hyderabad, which set out to chase the target of 181 runs, had a very bad start. The team lost big wickets like Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma in the initial overs itself. Due to this, the Chennai team started appearing in a strong position in the match. But after this, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen changed the entire course of the match by making a brilliant partnership. Clasen batted aggressively and scored 47 runs in 26 balls. Ishan Kishan, while showing an excellent balance of restraint and aggression, maintained constant pressure on the Chennai bowlers.
