A big update has come out for lakhs of students who appeared in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key of CUET UG 2026. Now candidates can match their answers and get an idea of how many marks they can score in the exam. Along with this, NTA has also given an opportunity to the students to register their objection on the answer key. Candidates who are not satisfied with any answer can lodge an objection online as per the prescribed procedure.
CUET UG 2026 answer key released
NTA has released the provisional answer key of CUET UG 2026 on 9 June 2026. Candidates who appeared in the examination can now download their response sheet and answer key by visiting the official website. This will help students to get an idea of their probable score before the result is declared.
The examination was held in May and June
CUET UG 2026 exam was conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026 at various examination centers across the country. For some candidates, the rescheduled examination was held on June 6 and 7. After the completion of the examination, students were eagerly waiting for the answer key, which has now been released.
Students will get a chance to register their objection till June 11.
After the release of the provisional answer key, candidates have also been given the facility to lodge objections. If any student feels that the answer to any question is wrong, he can lodge an objection to the concerned question online till June 11. All the objections received by NTA will be investigated by a team of subject experts. If the objection is found correct then the final answer key will be amended.
Admission in universities is based on CUET score.
CUET UG examination is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in central, state, private and deemed universities of the country. Through this examination, students apply for admission to the university and course of their choice. This year also many major universities will give admission on the basis of CUET score.

After the release of Answer Key, students are now eyeing the result of CUET UG 2026. NTA has not yet announced the result date, but it is believed that after the disposal of the objections, the final answer key and result can be released soon. In such a situation, candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website from time to time.
How to check CUET UG 2026 Answer Key
- First of all go to the official website of CUET UG cuet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link “CUET UG 2026 Answer Key” visible on the home page.
- Now enter your Application Number and Password or Date of Birth.
- Enter the Security Pin given on the screen and click on the Login button.
- After login, your Answer Key and Response Sheet will appear on the screen.
- Download it and match your answers.
