Ekadashi date has special significance in Hindu religion, this day is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. By fasting and worshiping on this day, one gets freedom from the sins of many births. Ekadashi celebrated in Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month is called Varuthini Ekadashi. This year this Ekadashi will start at 1.16 am on 13 April 2026 and will end at 1.08 am the next day on 14 April 2026.
By observing fast on Varuthini Ekadashi and worshiping properly, one gets the special blessings of Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu. Although religious texts prohibit doing certain things on Varuthini Ekadashi, doing these things can lead to many problems in life.
