He also has a twin brother (Craig Overton). He has also played international cricket for England. Craig had made his international debut 5 years before Jamie’s international debut.
Craig Overton is 3 minutes older
Jamie Overton and Craig Overton were born on 10 April 1994 in Devon. Craig is 3 minutes older than Jamie. Let us tell you that these are the first pair of twin brothers to play together in the England national team. Craig never played in IPL. In league cricket, he has played in Men’s 100, SA20 and ILT20.
Jamie Overton was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 1.50 crore in the auction held for IPL 2025. He is a bowling all-rounder, who played only 3 matches in the first season and could not take a single wicket. However, CSK had decided to retain him for the ongoing edition.

Jamie Overton has made his debut for England in all three formats (Test, ODI and T20), while Craig Overton has made his international debut in Test and ODI. Craig has not played T20 International, although apart from this he has played 139 T20 matches.

Jamie’s international cricket career
Jamie Overton made his Test debut in June 2022. He played his first T20 International match on September 11, 2024, and made his ODI debut the next month (31 October). Jamie played 2 Tests, 13 ODIs and 24 T20 International matches in his career, in which he took 4, 14 and 26 wickets respectively.
Jamie scored 106 runs in 3 Test innings, 272 runs in 10 ODI innings and 88 runs in 15 T20 innings. He has scored 1-1 half-century in Test and ODI.
Craig’s international cricket career
Craig Overton made his Test debut in December 2017 and made his ODI debut in 2018. He played his last international cricket match in 2022. Craig took 21 wickets in 8 tests and scored 182 runs. He has 5 wickets and 68 runs in his name in 7 innings of ODI.
