After the tariff dispute, Donald Trump is trying to bring the relations between India and America back on track. Negotiations on the deal between the two countries are also in the final stages. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has lifted the ban on four Indian companies.
The companies on which the US Finance Department has lifted the ban include Hyderabad-based RRG Engineering Technologies Private Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited, Ahmedabad-based Galaxy Bearings Limited and Delhi-based Shaurya Aeronautics Private Limited.
These companies were out of SDN list
The US Finance Department has excluded these companies from the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list. The properties of companies and individuals included in this list are frozen in American jurisdiction.

2 years ago 21 Indian institutions were banned
This step has been taken almost two years after four companies were included in the sanctions list of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). In the year 2024, OFAC had imposed sanctions on 21 Indian entities under the executive order, which included 19 companies and two individuals. This order targets companies or people who are accused of helping the Russian government.
America took action after Russia’s Ukraine attack
This action by Washington was part of broader efforts to prevent violations of sanctions imposed on Moscow after Russia’s attack on Ukraine in 2022. After the sanctions, the Indian government said that it had discussed the matter with Washington. The Ministry of External Affairs has maintained that India is a responsible member of the international community.

Of the four Indian companies removed from the sanctions list, two – Galaxy Bearings Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited – are publicly listed companies. Lokesh Machines’ customers include many global companies, including US-based John Deere and Cummins, Sweden’s Volvo and Japan’s Honda and Suzuki. Apart from this, RRG Engineering Technologies is associated with the aviation sector of India.
