Week long funeral started in Iran
This statement of Trump has come at a time when the week-long state funeral in honor of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has started in Iran. According to Iranian officials, millions of people are likely to attend the funeral and tribute programs.

Death occurred on 28th February
According to Iran, Khamenei was killed during a joint air strike by America and Israel on February 28. Many members of his family were also killed in this attack, including his daughter, son-in-law, niece and daughter-in-law.
The funeral was postponed due to war
According to Islamic tradition, a person is buried within 24 hours, but Khamenei’s funeral was postponed due to war and security reasons. After the ceasefire came into effect last month, the Iranian administration scheduled the funeral.
