The 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup (ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026) has started. On Sunday, the Indian women’s cricket team will start its campaign with a match against Pakistan, this will also be the first match of this edition for the Pakistani team. Whenever the teams of these two countries clash in cricket, rhetoric also starts. For the people of both the countries, cricket is more than a game, when they play among themselves, the excitement is always very high. Before the match on Sunday, Indian batsman Jemimah Rodrigues also talked about this thrill and told that her watchman also tells her not to lose.
Speaking on GeoHotstar, Jemimah Rodrigues said, “I remember when I played the first match against Pakistan. In the dressing room, Harmanpreet Kaur had asked us not to deny the pressure of this match. She had said that there is pressure from outside because we know the history of India and Pakistan. We also know what the fans expect from us.”
The Indian batsman further said, “Even the watchman of my building tells me to lose to anyone but not to Pakistan.” This is some kind of pressure. “People love this game, they love this rivalry.”
