In Pakistan, electricity company IESCO is facing problems in supply for a long time. In such a situation, people are forced to spend the whole night in the scorching heat. The maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius was recorded in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in Pakistan on Tuesday (June 30, 2026).
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and 43 percent humidity level was recorded in the country’s capital Islamabad on Tuesday (June 30, 2026), but due to the humidity amid the scorching heat, this temperature felt like a hit of 50 degrees Celsius.
Islamabad’s electricity supply company IESCO has started load shedding in many areas of the twin cities without any prior notice.
It is difficult for people to live amidst the scorching heat
At the same time, due to lack of electricity supply amid the scorching heat, life has become difficult for people. Local people say that there is no negligence in recovery of electricity bills in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, 100 percent electricity bill is recovered, but despite high electricity rates, the government is failing to supply electricity without cuts.
Apart from this, people also say that a large number of solar panels are installed in many areas, despite this the government is not able to make a single policy so that the common people can get some relief from this scorching heat amid load shedding.
Water crisis due to continuous power cuts
People say that amid this scorching heat, they are facing a lot of difficulties due to frequent power cuts. Be it a common man, student, shopkeeper, businessman or industrialist, everyone is facing this problem. Whereas patients admitted in government as well as private hospitals are also facing serious problems due to power cuts.
Apart from this, due to lack of electricity, there are also problems in the supply of drinking water. Because the tube wells are closed due to lack of electricity. Apart from this, due to traffic signals remaining closed for several hours, long queues of vehicles are forming on the main roads of the city.
