A tragic plane accident occurred in Tomblane city of north-eastern France on Sunday (28 June 2026), in which 11 people died. This accident occurred due to the crash of a Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter aircraft. This aircraft was attached to a parachute training school and was being used for parachute jumping training. According to the local administration, all 10 passengers including the pilot of the plane were killed in the accident. The dead included five students and five instructors. That means no one present in the plane could survive this accident.
It is being told that the plane suddenly crashed during flight. Relief and rescue teams reached the spot immediately after the accident, but no one could be saved. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area after the accident. The French Home Ministry, under the leadership of Bruno Retailleau, is also keeping an eye on this matter. The Home Ministry informed that the French Home Minister has left for the incident site to take stock of the situation.

The real reason for the accident was not revealed
At present the real reason for the accident has not been revealed. Investigative agencies are trying to find out whether the plane crashed due to technical fault, weather or any other reason. The real cause of the accident will be clear only after examining the black box and other technical data. This accident is considered to be one of the most serious recent plane accidents in France. Apart from this, a major helicopter accident took place in Ras Tanura area of Saudi Arabia on Sunday (June 28, 2026), in which 14 people died.
