The audience of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ is eagerly waiting. People liked the series ‘Mirzapur’ very much. Meanwhile, recently Vikrant Massey spoke from his heart regarding the web series ‘Mirzapur’. He said that he still regrets that his character ‘Bablu Pandit’ in the show was killed in the very first season. At the same time, it became clear from the recently released teaser of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ that Jitendra Kumar will now be seen in his place in the film.
Vikrant Massey is feeling regretful
Recently, in an interview given to FLO Bangalore Official, Vikrant Massey remembered the days of ‘Mirzapur’. Vikrant said, ‘I wish they had not killed me. Bablu Pandit’s story should have progressed a little more. Vikrant told that when he started this show, he had no idea that his character would leave such a big and deep impact. He told that there were some female members in the show, but about 85 percent of the cast and crew were male.

Vikrant told that the day the show came, he was shooting for his film ‘Ramprasad Ki Terhavi’ in Lucknow. He said, ‘I reached the set at 6:30 in the morning. But by evening a heavy noise was heard outside the location. The director and the team were facing difficulty in shooting because a crowd of 200 to 300 people had gathered outside. The news had spread everywhere that Bablu Bhaiya had come here. Vikrant further said that he was shocked to see this madness of people within 17-18 hours. People were following his car and asking for selfies.
Let us tell you, in ‘Mirzapur’ Vikrant Massey played the character of Ali Fazal’s onscreen brother ‘Bablu Pandit’. ‘Mirzapur’, released in the year 2018, got tremendous popularity and till now three seasons have come.
About ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’
At the same time, ‘Mirzapur’ has now joined those select Indian web series, which are being brought on the big screen as a film. The story of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ is based on the timeline of the year 2018, hence it will see the return of many popular characters who had died in the web series. In the film, Shriya Pilgaonkar will once again be seen in the role of Sweety Gupta, while Divyendu is also making a comeback as Munna Bhaiya.
However, in ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’, ‘Panchayat’ fame Jitendra Kumar will not be seen in the role of Bablu Pandit. His first glimpse has also been seen in the recently released teaser of the film.

When will it be released?
‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ is directed by Gurmeet Singh, while its story is written by Puneet Krishna. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar have produced the film under the banner of Excel Entertainment. This film will be released in theaters on 4 September 2026 in Hindi and Telugu languages.
