Studying MBA is the dream of lakhs of students in the country, but sometimes high fees become a big challenge for financially weak students. In such a situation, the Central Government and various institutions run many scholarships to provide financial assistance to the students. The objective of these schemes is to help talented and needy students to pursue higher education.
National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies (NSPG) is for students pursuing post graduate level studies. Under this, selected students are given financial assistance of Rs 15,000 every month for 10 months. For this, the age of the candidate should be less than 30 years. Also doing post graduate degree for the first time. Apart from this, you should be studying in a regular (full-time) course in a recognized institute.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students
This is an important scheme for the students of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. Under this, the compulsory educational fees of the students are reimbursed and maintenance allowance is also given. The eligibility for this is that the applicant belongs to SC or ST category. Also, the annual income of the family should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minority Students
This Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minority is run for the students of minority communities. Under this, students are provided annual assistance up to Rs 30,000 or the actual course fee (whichever is less). Apart from this, maintenance allowance is also given. The student should belong to minority community. Must have obtained at least 50 percent marks in the previous examination. The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme
This scheme is for the dependents and widows of martyrs, deceased or ex-servicemen of the armed forces. Scholarships are given every month to eligible students studying in various professional and technical courses including MBA. Under this, assistance ranging from Rs 2,250 to Rs 2,500 per month is given.
how to apply?
Applications for most of the scholarship schemes of the Central Government are made through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Apart from this, state governments and many top business schools, especially Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), also provide fee waivers and scholarships for economically weaker students.
