Batting first, Gujarat Titans have scored 168 runs. This match is being played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, in which most of the batsmen of Gujarat were seen struggling. At one time, Gujarat did not cross the 100-run mark even after 13 overs, but thanks to the half-centuries of Washington Sundar and Sai Sudarshan, Gujarat was able to cross 160.

When Washington Sundar came to bat, Gujarat could score only 64 runs in 9.3 overs and three wickets had fallen. Sundar along with Sai Sudarshan handled the innings. Sundar stood firm till the last over and played a fighting inning of 50 runs in 33 balls. In this innings he hit 7 fours and one six.
Sai Sudarshan created history
Sai Sudarshan has scored three consecutive half-centuries for Gujarat Titans. Sudarshan has now become the batsman with the most number of consecutive fifties for Gujarat. Before him, Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill have done this. Earlier in 2024-25 also, Sudarshan had achieved the feat of scoring three consecutive half-centuries for Gujarat. The scores of Sai Sudarshan’s last three innings in IPL 2026 are 57, 55, 61.

Especially Pat Cummins and Praful Hinge bowled more dangerously for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both gave away runs at an economy rate of less than 6. On one hand Hinge dismissed 2 batsmen, on the other hand Cummins managed to take one wicket.
