What did Chandigarh’s SSP say?
According to Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kanwardeep Kaur, crude material is suspected to be involved in the blast. The sound of the explosion was heard far away, causing fear among the local people and passers-by. Kanwardeep Kaur told the media that around 5 o’clock the police received information about a loud bang-like sound outside the BJP office.
Damage to some vehicles parked outside the office – Police
According to the police, some vehicles parked outside the BJP office were damaged by the blast. Policemen deployed in the area and damaged scooters and cars are visible in the pictures. Although the blast was of low intensity, it created an atmosphere of concern in the area.
BJP leader and Chandigarh Mayor’s brother, Vineet Joshi told the media that some vehicles were damaged in the incident. He told that after hearing the sound of the explosion, the police was informed.
