Harshit Rana will play in the third ODI against Afghanistan! BCCI made sudden changes in the squad

Fast bowler Harshit Rana has joined Team India. The third ODI match between India and Afghanistan is to be played on June 20 in Chennai. Before that, Harshit has joined the Indian squad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued an official statement saying that Harshit Rana has completed his rehab at the Center of Excellence and is now completely fit.

Harshit Rana was injured during the warm-up match of T20 World Cup 2026. Due to injury, he could not play the World Cup and was also out of IPL 2026. Harshit has returned to Team India after about 4 and a half months.

BCCI said in its official statement – Men’s Selection Committee has decided that Harshit Rana should be included in the Indian squad for the third ODI against Afghanistan. Harshit has completed his rehabilitation at the Center of Excellence and has joined Team India in Chennai.

Let us tell you that the selection committee has also included Harshit Rana in the Indian squad for the T20 series against Ireland and England. After the conclusion of the ODI series against Afghanistan, the Indian team will go on UK tour. Team India will play a two-match T20 series with Ireland on June 26 and June 28. After that, India’s tour of England will start from July 1, where 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches will be played between the two teams.

Team India has won the series

The Indian team has already won the 3-match ODI series against Afghanistan. Team India defeated Afghanistan by 7 wickets in the first match and won the second match by a huge margin of 170 runs. Now the third ODI match will be played in Chennai on 20th June.
