In the Bordeaux region, three elderly people aged between 80 and 95 also died due to heat-related health problems. Apart from this, 13 people lost their lives due to drowning between Sunday and Monday. Officials say that people are going into water to get relief from the heat, due to which such accidents are increasing. According to experts, this heatwave in Europe is due to a meteorological condition called ‘Omega Block’.
