The popularity of electric cars is increasing rapidly in India. People are now turning to electric vehicles to avoid the rising prices of petrol and diesel. Meanwhile, Tata Motors is going to launch its electric SUV Tata Sierra EV on June 30. The company is bringing it back with new design, modern technology and electric power.
The most talked about Tata Sierra EV is its long driving range. This SUV can run for approximately 600 kilometers once fully charged. This means that if you charge the battery once, there will be no need to find charging stations again and again during long distance journeys. This is the reason why this car may be liked by those people who often undertake long journeys.
Car design and features
The new Sierra EV has been built on Tata’s modern electric platform. The company has designed it not just for driving in cities but for all types of roads. It is being told that QWD i.e. quad wheel drive technology can be found in it. This will improve the grip of the vehicle during hilly roads, bad roads and rain and driving will feel safer.
Talking about design, the look of the new Sierra EV is quite attractive. Wide LED light bar, stylish headlamp and strong SUV design can be seen in it. However, the company has retained some glimpse of the old Sierra in its design, so that the old customers can feel its identity.
How is the safety of the car?
Even in the matter of safety, Tata does not want to leave any stone unturned. Many advanced safety features will be provided in Sierra EV. Modern technology like multiple airbags, electronic stability control, 360 degree camera and ADAS can be found in it. ADAS is a smart technology that warns the driver about dangers on the road and sometimes helps in preventing an accident.
Talking about the price, its starting price can be up to Rs 25 lakh. At this price, it can become a strong option in the electric SUV segment. Tata Sierra EV will compete with many popular electric vehicles. These include Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara, MG ZS EV and Mahindra’s new electric SUVs.
