NDA won Assam elections with huge majority
In the 126-member assembly of Assam, NDA had secured a huge majority and won a total of 102 seats. Of these, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) got 82 seats, while allies AGP and BPF won 10 seats each. On the other hand, the Congress alliance was reduced to just 19 seats. Raijor Dal and AIUDF got 2 seats each, while TMC got 1 seat. The account of Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) was also not opened.
