Because if the pot is always filled with water, the roots of the plant rot and the plant dies. Also, keep giving some water every day in summer, but add less water in winter.

Once a month, mix a little sour buttermilk with water and pour it on the roots of the plant. This will increase the acidic level in the soil, due to which the leaves will become completely green and shiny.
