Vinesh Phogat, who was the main face of the wrestlers’ protest at Jantar Mantar, has expressed her pain by sharing a video on social media on Sunday (May 3) and said that she is also one of the 6 victims who had filed a complaint against Brij Bhushan Singh. Vinesh told that till now she had hidden this thing due to the guidelines of the Supreme Court and her honor, but now due to compulsion, she is revealing her name.
He said that he has started preparing for wrestling again after 1.5 years. A month ago today, a tournament was announced by the Wrestling Federation whose name is Ranking Tournament. The place where this tournament is being organised, Brij Bhushan has his own private college in Gonda, UP. It is quite impossible that every player will get his due there.

The results are in the hands of Brijbhushan’s people
Vinesh further said, “Which referee will go to which match or which referee will give how many numbers…Which chairman will sit where, who has to win or who has to lose, all this will be decided by Brij Bhushan or his people. The government or our sports ministry is watching this as a silent spectator. No one is coming forward to help the players. It is as if Brij Bhushan has given them a free hand that you can do whatever you want, whether you are a woman or not.” Do something with the wrestlers, no matter what you do with the wrestling world, we are standing with you. I don’t think all the hard working players will be tested on weight.
Vinesh called herself a victim
Vinesh further said, “Three years ago, we had also raised our voice against Brij Bhushan, the case related to it is pending in the court. Six female players had filed a complaint and on the basis of that, the testimonies are going on in the court even today. The Supreme Court’s guideline is that the identity of any victim should not be revealed because it is a matter of their honor, but today there is some compulsion that I want to tell you all. I did not want to say that the case is pending in the court. The truth will come out in front of the country, but I want to tell that I am one of the six people who had complained and our medicines are also being treated.
Vinesh said it is difficult for me to play matches
Vinesh said that you can imagine how difficult it would be for me to go to his house and play a match in his college where every person would represent him. In such a situation, it will be difficult to go there and compete. There is already mental pressure on us athletes and in such a situation I don’t think I will be able to give my 100 percent. It is very difficult for a girl to go into such a situation and compete, or every player who has gone through this thing can understand this.”
Serious allegations against the Indian government
Vinesh said that even today Brij Bhushan says that he has dominance over the wrestling federation…he has kept his people in place, yet the sports federation or the government does not take any step. If I compete, my team will be with me and our well-wishers will also be there. If any incident happens to someone, I want to tell you all that only the Government of India will be responsible for it because Brij Bhushan, who himself says on camera that he had murdered a man, is still not punished. You can imagine what kind of person he is and what he can get done. He can do anything with anyone. I don’t want any special treatment for myself. I just want that the victory or defeat of every player should be decided on the basis of their hard work and not on the basis of any hooligan.
