Market will remain closed on Maharashtra Day
There will be a holiday in the stock market on Friday, May 1, 2026, on the occasion of Maharashtra Day. This day is celebrated every year to commemorate the formation of Maharashtra state. Due to which all types of trading on NSE and BSE remain completely closed.
There will be partial trading in MCX
The stock market will remain completely closed on 1st May. However, there will be no complete brake on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The session on MCX will remain closed from 9 am to 5 pm. Trading will continue as before from 5 pm to 11:55 pm.
