IND W VS PAK W: India recorded its fifth biggest win by margin of runs, read all the records one by one

By defeating Pakistan by 64 runs, India has registered its fifth biggest win by runs in the Women’s T20 World Cup. The Indian women’s team, who came to bat first at Edgbaston on Sunday, scored 170 runs losing 6 wickets. In response, Pakistan was reduced to just 106 runs in 17 overs.

India achieved its biggest win in the Women’s T20 World Cup by 82 runs against Sri Lanka in Dubai in the year 2024. Team India has won the match against Bangladesh by 79 runs in Sylhet, whereas in the year 2016, it had won the match against Bangladesh by 72 runs. In the year 2010, ‘Women in Blue’ had defeated Sri Lanka by 71 runs.

India has registered its seventh win (in total 9 matches) against Pakistan in the Women’s T20 World Cup. The Australian team is at the top in this list, which has defeated South Africa in 8 out of 9 matches, while the New Zealand team has won all seven matches against Sri Lanka.

In the match played at Edgbaston on Sunday, the Indian team suffered two setbacks till the score was just 18. After this, captain Harmanpreet Kaur got India out of trouble by making a partnership of 91 runs in 63 balls with Smriti Mandhana. Mandhana was out after scoring 68 runs in 44 balls, while Kaur scored 36 runs in 35 balls.

Deepti Sharma (12 not out) along with Richa Ghosh (34) made a partnership of 45 runs in 21 balls for the sixth wicket and took the team to a strong score. For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana took 2-2 wickets, while Tasmiya Rubab and Ramin Shamim took 1-1 wicket.

In response, the opening pair of Muniba Ali and Gul Firoza gave a great start to Pakistan, but after the break of this pair, the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals and collapsed for just 106 runs. For Pakistan, Muniba Ali scored the highest 41 runs in 35 balls. For India, Deepti Sharma took 5 wickets for 10 runs in 4 overs, while Shri Charani took 3 wickets. Shefali Verma took one wicket.
