India Issues Demarche To US: The Indian government has condemned the attack on an Indian commercial ship off the coast of Oman on Wednesday, June 10. The Indian government has issued a letter of protest i.e. Demarche to the American diplomat. This protest from India is being considered as a big step and a clear message for America.
The Foreign Ministry has summoned America’s Chargé d’Affaires Jason Meeks in protest over the attack on a ship. This step has been taken after India condemned the attack on the commercial ship Setebels near the coast of Oman.

21 Indians rescued, three still missing
There were 24 Indian crew members on board this ship. 21 Indians have been rescued, but 3 are still missing. India has reiterated its demand for reducing tension, security of commercial shipping and restoration of safe navigation in international waters.
India has once again stressed the need to reduce tensions, ensure the safety of commercial vessels and restore safe navigation in international waters. Nagaraj Naidu, Additional Secretary in charge of US affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs, summoned Jason Meeks, Deputy Chief Mission of the US Embassy, and informed him about India’s objection and concern.

India’s Foreign Ministry has said that our embassy is monitoring the situation. Oman officials are actively coordinating the rescue operation. The Foreign Ministry has said that the continuous attacks on ships in this area are very worrying. This is a direct result of the ongoing conflict in this area. We reiterate our demand for immediate de-escalation of tensions and completion of ongoing negotiations for a diplomatic solution. Peace and stability can return to the area.
