IPL 2026 Purple Cap Winner Kagiso Rabada: Gujarat Titans fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has won the Purple Cap by taking the most wickets in IPL 2026. The final match of the season is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans. Gujarat bowler did wonders in the title match. Bengaluru fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, playing against Gujarat, missed out on winning the Purple Cap. If Bhuvi had won the Purple Cap, he would have created history and also made a big record.

Gujarat came out to bat first in the final. During this, Bhuvneshwar took 28 wickets to his name by taking 2 wickets. Rabada already had 28 wickets in his name in the season. Then during the second innings, when Rabada came to bowl, he completed 29 wickets by taking the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal and won the Purple Cap. In this way Rabada won the battle of Purple Cap in the final.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar missed creating history

Let us tell you that the record of winning the most purple caps in IPL history is held in the names of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dwayne Bravo and Harshal Patel. 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has decorated the orange cap on his head by scoring the most runs in the season. Vaibhav, playing for Rajasthan Royals, scored 776 runs in 16 innings of 16 matches at an average of 48.50 and a staggering strike rate of 237.31. During this period, he scored 1 century and 5 half-centuries. Vaibhav has become the youngest player to win the Orange Cap.
