IPL 2026, RR vs PBKS: If Rajasthan Royals, who have not been able to achieve the expected results in the last few matches, have to stop the invincible chariot of Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match to be held here on Tuesday, then captain Ryan Parag, who is struggling to score runs, will have to lead from the front.
After Ricky Ponting took over as the head coach and Shreyas Iyer became the captain, Punjab Kings have seen radical changes and have performed well since then. Last year his team was the runner-up and this year he has performed well from the beginning.

Virat Kohli had won the title of ‘chase-master’ on the basis of his excellent consistency over the years and now Iyer is also on the same path. As captain and batsman, he has played a key role in Punjab Kings remaining unbeaten in the tournament so far, displaying commendable patience in extremely pressured situations.
Iyer has captained brilliantly, but his entire team has united and contributed. Punjab Kings had defended the lowest score in the history of IPL last season and now they easily achieved the record target of 265 runs despite the scorching heat in New Delhi on Saturday.
Punjab Kings’ six wins in seven matches (one match canceled due to rain) have been possible due to the explosive opening pair of Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh. Both of them helped their team achieve the record target in Kotla by scoring 116 runs in the powerplay against Delhi.
Punjab Kings bowlers were badly beaten in that match, but due to the favorable conditions for batting and the short boundary line, they cannot be blamed much.
Punjab Kings will play their last match of this season at their home ground. His team will play its last three home matches in Dharamshala, so it is expected that being well aware of the conditions, it will be successful in continuing its winning campaign against Rajasthan Royals also.
Rajasthan Royals had started the tournament well but after winning the first four matches, they have lost their rhythm. Young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has performed brilliantly, but the team has not been able to maintain consistency.
Captain Parag has not performed well in the eight matches he has played so far, which is putting pressure on his middle order. Parag has so far scored only 88 runs in eight innings and his strike rate is 112.82. The pressure on him is increasing with every match.
Rajasthan Royals could not defend their strong score against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last match. His fielding was very poor and Sunrisers easily achieved the target of 239 runs.
Parag said, ‘I think every day there are different grounds, different matches and different ways to deal with them. Right now we don’t know what will happen in Chandigarh. What I mean to say is that he had achieved a big target in Delhi but Chandigarh is a new ground, new pitch, new soil. So hopefully the match will not reach that stage.
Punjab Kings had scored 254 runs in the last match played at their home ground and their batsmen will be determined to continue their excellent performance.
