IPL 2026 SRH vs RR: Hyderabad captain Ishan Kishan praised debutant fast bowlers Prafulla Hinge and Shakib Hussain after defeating Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs in the Indian Premier League T20 match here on Monday.
Hinge created history by taking 3 wickets in a single over.
Hinge and Shakib took four wickets each in their debut match. ‘Player of the Match’ Hinge set a new IPL record by taking three wickets in his first over. He dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and Luhan-Dre Pretorius without opening the account.
Kishan’s inning of 91 runs in 44 balls helped Sunrisers score 216 runs for six wickets, in response to which Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 159 runs.

After the victory, Kishan expressed satisfaction over the team’s performance and said that this victory was important for the team and the players implemented the plans well. “We are very happy with this win,” he told broadcasters at the awards ceremony. The team scored two important points and the bowlers did what we expected from them. We told him to play freely and execute his plans properly, and today he did just that. The credit for this goes to all the bowlers.
On giving opportunity to new bowlers, he said, “You also have to see how much desire the young players have for success.” He was working hard with our bowling coach Varun Aaron throughout the season and was constantly interacting with the experienced players. It was necessary to give him a chance on home ground and today this decision proved to be right.
In this match, Sunrisers’ opener Abhishek Sharma was out without opening the account on the very first ball, but Kishan defended him and said, ‘The way Abhishek plays, it is inevitable to get out early sometimes. It is our responsibility to take the innings deep, so that he can play freely. If he gets going then we can easily make a big score. He was out today, but hopefully he will return more motivated in the next match.
