Iran has reacted sharply to US President Donald Trump’s claim regarding the attack on an Indian ship near the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Embassy in India termed Trump’s allegations as completely ‘baseless’ and said that America is trying to divert people’s attention. Iran claims that in less than a week, the US military attacked three ships carrying Indian sailors, resulting in the death of three Indian citizens.
Iranian Embassy rejected Trump’s allegations
The Iranian Embassy in India issued a statement on social media platform X saying that Trump’s allegations regarding the Indian ship in the Strait of Hormuz are completely baseless. The embassy said this was an attempt by the US to divert attention from the recent attacks in which Indian sailors lost their lives.
Serious allegations against America
Iran alleged that the US targeted three Indian ships in less than a week and three innocent Indian sailors died. The embassy strongly criticized the American action, calling it ‘cruel’ and ‘shameful’.

Trump had accused Iran of carrying out the attack
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had claimed that Iran was behind the attacks on ships carrying Indian sailors near the Strait of Hormuz. He described this incident as ‘completely unacceptable’. However, no independent confirmation has emerged regarding this claim.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry also surrounded America
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghai also made a sharp attack on America. He said that American attacks on Indian merchant ships are an example of America’s policy of ‘state sponsored piracy’ and ‘armed robbery’. He also expressed condolences to the families of the killed Indian citizens.
Demand for action from the international community
Iran has demanded the international community to hold America accountable. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that America’s alleged illegal attitude is becoming a threat to global peace, maritime security and freedom of navigation, hence action should be taken at the international level.
America-Iran dispute increased
Accusations and counter-allegations have intensified between America and Iran on the issue of death of Indian sailors and attacks on ships. On one hand, Trump is blaming Iran, while on the other hand, Iran is accusing America of direct attack. This entire matter has further increased the already ongoing tension in the Gulf region.
