In the ongoing conflict between America and Iran in the Middle East, regional countries are also facing attacks. Now Kuwait has claimed to have attacked on behalf of Iran. Kuwait has issued a formal statement on Friday.
According to news agency AP, Kuwait said on Friday that Iran attacked the desalination plant that filters electricity and water, causing huge damage to the plant. About 90 percent of the drinking water in Kuwait comes from desalination.
Kuwait said- it can pose a threat to life in a small desert country
Kuwait has said that any kind of interruption in this can pose a threat to life in the small desert country. Giving information about the attack, Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said that it caused a fire and damaged many power generating units.
Apart from this, Kuwait has said that the fire has been extinguished. Work is underway to assess the damage and restart the plant.
America intensified attacks on Iran
Here, on Friday morning America has increased the scope of action against Tehran. America has targeted many more bridges and sites with its air strikes against Iran. The tower built on an important port of Iran has also been demolished. This action is part of the threats by US President Donald Trump. In these, he talked about attacking Iran’s infrastructure to put pressure on Tehran to loosen its grip on Hormuz.
