Iran-US Tensions: Amidst the ongoing tension with America and Israel, Iran has given a big statement and claimed that it will soon use a new weapon which the enemy countries fear and may even give them a heart attack. This warning has come at a time when US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s proposal to lift the US blockade in exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani said while talking to government media that the Islamic Republic will very soon confront the enemy forces with a weapon of which they are extremely afraid. He said, “This weapon is very close to him… Hopefully he will not have a heart attack.”
Taunted on American strategy
The Iranian commander also targeted the strategy of the Trump administration, in which efforts are being made to force Iran for talks by creating economic pressure. He said that the enemies thought that they would succeed in their objective in a short time, but now this thinking has become a joke in the military academies. The Iranian commander claimed that Iranian forces have launched at least seven missile attacks on the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, due to which America could not conduct air operations from that ship for some time.
Control and strictness on the Strait of Hormuz
Iran said that after the attack by America and Israel, it has carried out more than 100 retaliatory attacks on American and Israeli targets in the Middle East. Apart from this, Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz to the ships of enemy countries and their allies. Now ships have to take permission from Iranian authorities to pass. Iran claims that this step was taken in response to the American blockade. Iran has accused US forces of seizing its ships and taking the crew hostage. Calling it “piracy” and “hostage taking,” the commander said the American actions were worse than Somali pirates.
Trump rejected Iran’s proposal
President Donald Trump has made it clear that he will not accept Iran’s proposal to open Hormuz in exchange for lifting the blockade and postponing talks on the nuclear program. Trump said, “A blockade is more effective than bombing and it will be worse for Iran. We will not let them get nuclear weapons.” Iran has also vowed to avenge those killed in the war and said that it will give a blow to the enemies which they will never forget. At the same time, tension in the area is continuously increasing and the situation remains very sensitive.
