BCCI Fine Riyan Parag For Vape Case: Ryan Parag, who is captaining Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026, was seen vaping (using e-cigarette) inside the dressing room in the 40th match of the season. The matter gained a lot of attention. E-cigarettes are banned in India, due to which people made various speculations that Ryan may also be jailed in this case. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has issued an official statement taking action against the Rajasthan captain.

IPL issued a release saying that Riyan Parag has been fined 25 percent of his match fee in this case. Along with this, he has also been given 1 demerit point for violating Level 1 of the Code of Conduct for IPL players and team officials. One thing has become clear from this that Ryan has not been punished with jail or a match ban in this case.

“Ryan was found to have breached Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which relates to ‘conduct that brings disrepute to the game’. The incident occurred during the second innings when Ryan was observed using a vape inside the dressing room,” the IPL release read.

It was further written, “Ryan admitted the offense and has accepted the punishment imposed by the match referee Amit Sharma.”

BCCI considering other options for action

The release further read, “BCCI is also considering other options to initiate strict action against the offending team, its officials and players to maintain the reputation of the IPL.”

There was an uproar due to the viral video

In the league match played against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur, Riyan Parag was seen vaping in the dressing room. Ryan’s video went viral on social media, after which the discussion regarding the matter intensified. Now BCCI has closed the matter.
