According to Reuters report, last week in the US Presidential Palace i.e. White House, Vice President JD Vance also responded to Israel’s critics amid questions being raised on the initial US-Iran agreement. Vance said that Israeli military attacks in Lebanon’s capital Beirut could weaken America’s peace efforts and such attacks could also increase tension in the area.
On the other hand, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has clearly defended Israel’s military attacks in Lebanon. During a visit to Gulf countries, Rubio said that Israel is only responding to the attacks carried out by Hezbollah, which is necessary for its own security. During this, he also mentioned the attacks carried out by Hezbollah on Israeli posts.
