After this, current Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar can be crowned as the new Chief Minister.

DK Shivakumar’s education
DK Shivakumar has a very good background not only in politics but also in education. After completing his early schooling from Kanakapura, he obtained a BA degree from the famous RC College, Bengaluru. Subsequently, despite continuing to be active in politics, he continued his studies and obtained a post graduation degree in Political Science from Karnataka State Open University, Mysore in 2006.
DK Shivakumar’s after promotion salary
After being promoted from the post of Deputy Chief Minister to the post of Chief Minister, there will be a big change in the salary, allowances and official facilities of DK Shivkumar. At present his total monthly salary and allowances as a minister or deputy CM is around Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, which will increase to around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh per month including basic salary, constituency allowance and hospitality allowance once he becomes the Chief Minister. Along with this, as soon as he is promoted as the Chief Minister, he will also get the main official government bungalow of the state, Z Plus category high security, a convoy of special bulletproof vehicles and the privilege of using the state’s special aircraft for tours.
