Talking about the match, the play of nature was also seen on the field. Rain repeatedly disrupted the game, but it had no effect on Lucknow batsman Mitchell Marsh. Marsh thrashed the Bengaluru bowlers and hit a flurry of fours and sixes on a ground like Ekana, which is often considered low-scoring. He completed his explosive century in just 49 balls.
Due to rain, the game had to be stopped thrice, after which the umpires decided to reduce the match to 19-19 overs. Thanks to Marsh’s century, Lucknow Super Giants scored a huge score of 209 runs by losing only 3 wickets in 19 overs. RCB bowlers had no answer to Marsh’s attacks.
