Amy Coleman wrote in the memo, ‘Today we are eliminating approximately 2.1% of our global workforce, i.e. approximately 4,800 positions. Our objective is to focus our employees, investments and resources on priorities that will help Microsoft continue to serve its customers in a rapidly changing tech industry.
