NEET re-exam will be held on June 21
National Testing Agency (NTA) has made it clear that NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be conducted on June 21. The exam will run from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. This time students will also get 15 minutes extra time. This extra time is being given for the necessary formalities to be done at the examination center like biometric checking, signature and photo verification.
New admit cards will be issued
NTA will issue new admit cards for re-exam. Students will be able to download their new admit cards through the official website from June 14. Students have been advised to keep new passport and postcard size photographs ready in advance so that they do not face any problem at the time of examination.
Now focus on MCQ practice in preparation
According to experts, now students should focus on solving as many MCQs as possible instead of just studying theory. Solving questions continuously improves time management and also increases confidence in the exam. Teachers say that high-volume MCQ practice proves to be the most effective strategy in the last days.

Opportunity to learn from past mistakes
Teachers believe that students should not consider the May 3 exam as a failure. You should consider it like a big mock test and analyze your weaknesses. There is a need to pay special attention to the topics in which mistakes were made or where more time was spent. In a competitive exam like NEET, even small mistakes can have a big impact on the rank. Many students fill wrong answers in a hurry or ignore important words given in the question. In such a situation, students are being advised to read the questions carefully and answer with a calm mind.
NEET exam may be online from 2027
According to reports, the Education Ministry is considering conducting the NEET exam in CBT mode in future. Its main objective is to eliminate the problems related to paper leaks and OMR sheets. Students can also get the facility to change answers in online examination, which will reduce the chances of mistakes.
Exam city can be changed till 21st May
NTA has also given the facility to the students to change the examination center city. Candidates can change their examination city till 21st May and no additional fee will be required for this. This facility is being considered as a relief for those students who due to some reason are not able to appear for the examination in their current city.
