US President Donald Trump has once again made many big claims in his bold style regarding the current situation in Israel, Iran and the Middle East. Trump said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked for a meeting with him at the White House and this meeting could take place next week. During this, he described the relations between the two countries as strong and said that Netanyahu knows very well “who is the boss”. If this meeting takes place as per schedule, then this will be the first face-to-face meeting of the two leaders after February.
Trump-Netanyahu may meet at White House next week
In a brief phone interview with Axios on Saturday, Trump said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed his desire to meet him. He said that this meeting can be held in the White House next week after returning from the NATO summit. However, an Israeli official has been quoted as saying that Trump’s schedule is very busy. In such a situation, this meeting can take place after that instead of next week.
The program will be decided after the NATO summit
Trump is going to visit Türkiye in connection with the NATO summit on July 7 and 8. For this reason, the final schedule of the meeting between the two leaders is likely to be decided after their return. On the other hand, Israel has also confirmed that there was a long phone conversation between Trump and Netanyahu recently, in which both the leaders agreed to meet in America soon. During this conversation, Israel also described America as the protector of global freedom.

Discussion of differences amidst warmth of relationships
Trump may be publicly describing the relations between the two countries as strong, but recent reports have revealed differences of opinion between the two leaders on some issues.
According to the report, after the last meeting held in February, some of Trump’s close advisors are not satisfied with Netanyahu’s war policy. He believes that the Israeli Prime Minister’s stance regarding regional strategy has not been right.
Trump expressed displeasure over military action in Lebanon
The report also said that during the phone conversation between the two leaders last month, Trump had expressed his displeasure over Israel’s military action in Lebanon. Criticizing this aggressive policy, he asked Israel to immediately limit military operations. Trump wants Israel to reduce its military action in Lebanon and move towards an agreement that includes an initial withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
Trump’s big claim regarding Iran
Trump also made a big claim regarding Iran. He said that Iran is completely ready to compromise at this time and wants to resume talks with America. According to Trump, both sides have agreed to stop talks for the time being, because the funeral rituals of former supreme leader Ali Khamenei are yet to be completed.
Old claim repeated about Khamenei
Trump once again claimed that Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint operation between America and Israel on the very first day of the war. He also said that he was surprised to see that a large number of people attended Khamenei’s funeral, even though he thought that the people there hated him.

Hint also given on nuclear deal and ceasefire
Amidst all these statements, Trump reminded that last month he had also signed a memorandum related to starting fresh talks on the nuclear deal with Iran and carrying forward the ceasefire.
Now the eyes of the whole world are fixed on this possible White House meeting. If Trump and Netanyahu sit face to face, important decisions and new direction can emerge regarding the security of the Middle East, Iran, Lebanon and regional strategy.
