Middle East Conflicts: Amidst the ongoing conflict and tension with America and Israel in the Middle East, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei on Thursday (April 30, 2026) gave a big statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. Khamenei has said that a new chapter is taking shape for the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report of Iran’s state TV channel, in his written message on National Persian Gulf Day, Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said that this region of the Gulf will move towards a bright future without America’s presence. He said that Tehran will ensure the security of the Gulf region and end the wrongdoings of enemies spread across the waterway.
9 crore Iranians will protect their country’s assets – Khamenei
Khamenei said in his written message, ‘The new management of the Strait of Hormuz will bring peace, progress and economic benefits to all Gulf countries in the region. The 90 million (90 million) respected Iranian citizens inside and outside the country consider all of Iran’s scientific and technological strengths, from nanotechnology, biotechnology to nuclear and missile capabilities, as national assets and will protect them, just as they protect their waters, land and airspace.’

Americans’ place is only in the depths of the Persian Gulf – Khamenei
At the same time, targeting America, the Iranian Supreme Leader said, ‘The place of Americans in the Persian Gulf is only in its depths. The foreigners who come from thousands of kilometers away with greed and malice have no place here, except in its depths.
He further said, ‘With the help of God, the future of the Persian Gulf region will be without America, which will work for the progress, comfort and prosperity of the people there.’ Khamenei also alleged that the main reason for instability in the Gulf region is America’s presence. He said that America’s weak military bases are not capable of ensuring its own security nor can it provide any assurance to its allies.
