Crude Oil News: There is Hormuz Block due to the ongoing war between Iran and the US, due to which the prices of crude oil are increasing globally. Its impact is being felt in every country. Not only India but also its neighboring countries are facing shortage of gas and oil due to non-import of crude oil. Meanwhile, a treasure trove of oil and gas has been found in a neighboring country of India.
In which country was the oil treasure found?
This country is none other than India’s neighboring country Pakistan. Pakistan’s government oil and gas company OGDCL (Oil and Gas Development Company Limited) has found a large amount of oil and gas from the Bobi Deep-1 well located in Sanghar district of Sindh province. The company is going to use this energy for the upliftment of the country.

What did the company say?
According to OGDCL, 2 thousand barrels of oil and 11 lakh standard cubic feet of gas can be produced every day from one layer of Lower Goru Formation in Bobby Deep-1 well. During research, it has been confirmed that there are good reserves of hydrocarbons (oil and gas) in this area. The company has called it a big achievement, because this is the first such discovery in the Bobby and Dhamraki mining lease area.
had to face challenges
During this project, the company had to face many technical and ground challenges, due to which the drilling work had to be stopped earlier. However, instead of closing the project, OGDCL took the help of local people and scientists. The company’s engineers and geologists conducted a detailed study in collaboration with the Center for Pure and Applied Geology of Sindh University, Jamshoro.

After modern survey, geological analysis and technical evaluation, a new model was prepared, which reduced the risk and drilling work could be resumed. This discovery was made after finally reaching the goal. OGDCL believes that this discovery will increase Pakistan’s domestic oil and gas production, reduce dependence on imported energy and strengthen the country’s energy security. This is expected to add new reserves in the future and also promote the development of the energy sector.
