Iran’s Health Ministry has claimed that 14 people have died, while 78 people have been injured in the US attacks that started on Wednesday. According to the ministry, these attacks were carried out in five provinces of Iran. The Iranian military claimed that it has carried out large-scale drone attacks targeting US military bases and strategic installations in the Gulf region.
According to the Iranian military, the attacks targeted a Patriot missile defense system in Kuwait, an early warning satellite antenna site in Qatar, and US military fuel storage tanks in Bahrain. The Army says that a large number of drones of different types were used in these operations.
The Iranian armed forces said in a statement that they will not allow the US President’s objectives to succeed at any cost and will continue their operations to protect the country’s security and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution. The US Central Command also claimed that it targeted about 90 military bases of Iran. These include air defense systems, missile-drone storage sites, military logistics infrastructure.
An Iranian official has accused America of carrying out an airstrike near the Bushehr nuclear plant. According to Fars News Agency, the Ak Tak-e-Khan railway bridge located in the northern province of Golestan was targeted in the American air strikes on Iran. This bridge connects major trade routes between Tehran and China, Iran’s largest trade partner. During the US blockade of Iranian ports, goods are sent to Russia using this route.
The United States again started air strikes against Iran. Tehran retaliated by targeting America’s allies in the Middle East. According to the report of Iran’s Mehr News Agency, sounds of more explosions have been heard in Bandar Abbas, the Iranian port city located on the Strait of Hormuz.
US Central Command said its forces carried out strikes on Iran for the second consecutive day. Iranian media reported that the blasts were heard in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Sirik County and the Iranian island of Abu Musa. The state-run IRIB news agency said three blasts were also heard in south-eastern Chabahar County, bringing the total to eight in Bandar Abbas, where air defenses have been activated.
