Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted President Donald Trump on the occasion of America’s 250th Independence Day. He also shared a post for this on social media on Saturday (July 4). PM Modi described America as a strong partner of India. He said that India-America friendship will reach new heights.
Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter, ‘On behalf of 140 crore Indians, I heartily congratulate President Trump and the people of America on the historic 250th anniversary of your independence. India and America do not just share a strategic partnership. Our shared belief in democracy, the rule of law and the immense potential of our people makes our friendship a force for global good.
He wrote, ‘May the next 250 years bring even more prosperity, peace and progress for America and take the India-US partnership to new heights.’

Increased cooperation between India and America in many areas including defense and technology
Relations between India and America have been full of ups and downs. In the last few years, cooperation between the two countries in trade, defence, technology and other important areas has continuously increased. However, a few months ago the talks regarding trade deal between India and America got stuck. America also wanted to interfere in India’s agricultural sector, but the Modi government did not agree to this deal keeping in mind the interest of the farmers.
