IPL 2025 PBKS vs MI Toss Update Match 58: In the 58th match of IPL 2026 in Dharamshala, Mumbai Indians have won the toss and decided to bowl. Punjab Kings will come on the field to bat first. Jasprit Bumrah is captaining MI in the match. Suryakumar Yadav is also out of Mumbai’s playing 11 in today’s match. Regular captain Hardik Pandya is already out. On the other hand, Punjab has also made changes in the team.
Why was Suryakumar Yadav out?
Bumrah told after the toss that Suryakumar Yadav is not playing today’s match due to personal reasons. Apart from this, Ghazanfar is also out of Mumbai’s XI. However, Bumrah has not given any update regarding Hardik’s return.

What did the Mumbai Indians captain say after the toss?
After the toss, Mumbai Indians captain Jasprit Bumrah said, “We will bowl first. We saw the last match and we thought that maybe the wicket would become stable as the cold increases. It feels good. I came here at the age of 19. I never thought that I would be a Test captain before becoming the captain of MI. I like the responsibility, it is a new challenge and I would like to enjoy it to the fullest.”
What did the Punjab Kings captain say after the toss?
After the toss, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer said, “We would have also bowled first. The wicket is looking a bit dry. I don’t know how the pitch will be right now, so I am just thinking positive. We should stop thinking about what has gone wrong. We should focus on being in good shape and positive thinking.” Further, Iyer told that Harpreet Brar, Xavier Bartlett and Azmatullah Omarzai have come in the team.
