A new development has come to light on Thursday (May 21, 2026) amid ongoing talks to end the conflict and tension between America, Israel and Iran in West Asia. In fact, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei, while giving a big order regarding Iranian enriched uranium, said that the existing reserves of enriched uranium in the country should remain in Iran only.
Reuters has shared the information quoting two senior Iranian sources. He has said that this step may further complicate efforts to end the war and restore peace between America, Israel and Iran.
What assurance did President Trump give to Israel?
According to the report, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei has made clear Tehran’s stance on one of the major demands of Washington during the ongoing peace talks aimed at ending the US-Israel war with Iran. At the same time, Israeli officials told Reuters, ‘US President Donald Trump had assured Israel that any peace agreement would include removing most of Iran’s enriched uranium reserves from the country.

Many western countries including US-Israel are against Iran’s nuclear program.
The United States, Israel and many other Western countries have long accused Iran of developing the capability to make nuclear weapons, and these accusations intensified after Iran enriched uranium to 60 percent. In fact, enriching uranium up to 60 percent is more than meets the civilian needs and is considered close to making nuclear weapons. On the other hand, Iran has repeatedly denied allegations of trying to make nuclear weapons.
