How much loss are the oil companies facing?
Indian oil marketing companies are suffering huge losses due to selling petrol, diesel and domestic LPG at prices below cost. They are facing a total loss of about Rs 1,380 crore every day. However, after the recent increase in prices by Rs 3 per liter, the net daily loss of the companies has come down to about Rs 750 crore.
