There is news of a massive explosion in Patiala, Punjab on the night of Monday, 27th April. This explosion took place on the railway line between Rajpura-Shambhu. Between 8:30 and 9:00 pm, people heard a loud explosion, which shook the area. Police officers reached the spot to investigate.
There was a massive explosion at around 8:30 pm on the dedicated freight corridor (DFCCI) railway line located between Rajpura and Shambhu railway station. This explosion occurred near kilometer number 1174/1–6.
Reasons for blast not known
As soon as the information was received, senior officers of Railway Protection Force (RPF), GRP and local police reached the spot along with heavy police force. The help of forensic experts is being taken to find out the real reasons behind the incident so that it can be made clear whether it is part of any conspiracy.
Dead body also recovered from the spot
If sources are to be believed, the police have also recovered a dead body from the spot, which was in tatters. Different parts of the body have been recovered from the spot. However, it has not been confirmed yet whether the body is related to the blast or not, but people believe that the accused who planted the bomb has died in the blast.
Police has also informed that this incident happened at night on the railway track made for goods trains. The intensity of the blast was low, due to which much damage was avoided. However, the track needs repair as it has been damaged in the explosion. A dead body has also been recovered. It is currently being investigated whether there is any connection between the body and the blast. Evidence has been collected from the spot and the forensic team has started investigation by taking some samples. Soon the motive behind the blast and the accused will be identified.
