He made the record of scoring the fastest fifty in the playoff stage of the tournament. Patidar completed his fifty in 21 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes. In the match, he played a brilliant inning of 93* runs.
With this, Patidar became the fastest batsman to score the fastest fifty for RCB in the playoff stage. Overall, Patidar became the third player to score the joint fastest half-century in a playoff match.
Like Patidar, Virender Sehwag and Dwayne Smith have also completed half-centuries in 21 balls each in playoff matches. Suresh Raina is at the first position in this list. Raina had completed half century in 16 balls against Punjab Kings in 2014.
