Ram Gopal Varma has written a very emotional and touching post about Michael Jackson on the social media platform X. He started the post with ‘I hate Michael’.
He wrote, ‘After watching any film of Michael Jackson, my memories come back to that terrible day of June 25, 2009. I slept late that night. When I woke up in the morning and looked at the TV screen, the news was playing, on which it was written ‘Michael Jackson is no more.’ For a while I thought it was a bad dream. But the news was going on continuously and it was true.

Also, while sharing memories of his engineering days, he told that on January 2, 1984, a friend in Vijayawada took him to a small dark video parlor, where he watched Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ video. He wrote, ‘It was not just a song or dance, but an attack. Michael’s dance, energy and presence on screen seemed supernatural. They used to float in the air. I thought he was not a human being but God. Videos like ‘Beat It’, ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Smooth Criminal’, ‘Black or White’ were like the Bible. Michael’s videos were always a source of inspiration even during my filmmaking.

Ram Gopal Varma was devastated by Michael Jackson’s death.
Ram Gopal Varma wrote that controversies never affected him. For him, Michael was a gravitational force. But his death pained him greatly. He said, ‘I hate him because he proved that he too was human. He also needed oxygen and blood. His heart could also have stopped.
Still, while expressing his respect for Michael, he wrote, ‘I love him so much that I cannot express it in words.’ I believe that Michael would be moonwalking in the galaxies now.
