In a post going viral on social media, quoting the report, it was written that the third ODI against Afghanistan in Chepauk, Chennai could be Rohit Sharma’s last international match, which will be played on June 20. BCCI told that due to age and fitness he is not a part of the 2027 ODI World Cup plan.

What is the truth of the claim?
So let us tell you that no such information has been given by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or Rohit Sharma. Therefore, there is no truth of any kind in Rohit’s retirement claim.
Rohit Sharma’s international career
Hitman played 67 Tests, 283 ODIs and 159 T20 International matches in his international career. In 116 innings of Test, he scored 4301 runs at an average of 40.57, which included 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries. Apart from this, Hitman has scored 11593 runs in 275 innings of ODI, in which he scored 33 centuries and 61 half-centuries. In 151 innings of T20 International, he scored 4231 runs at an average of 32.05 and strike rate of 140.89. During this period, 5 centuries and 32 half-centuries were scored.
